Thinking Happy Thoughts

One of my favorite parts about doing these posters is getting to know the people who order them and their stories. There are so many wonderful people out there! When Heidi ordered a few of the 'Pixie Dust' prints as gifts for family members last month she was kind enough to include the story of what they meant to her. This was the note her family sent out at Christmas last year, following the passing of her mother:

Happy Thoughts.  Ten years ago, we gave my mom a Christmas gift.  Her favorite kind, a homemade one.  The gift was a glass jar filled with colorful folded notes.  On each was written a family memory.   It was named “THE JAR OF HAPPY THOUGHTS.”  The jar earned a home on her kitchen counter and remains there still.  Through the years,  when mom needed “a perk” she would just open the jar and enjoy a note or two.  When one of us would create yet another memorable moment,  she loved to say “add it to the jar”.  Most of all, she adored  sitting with her grandkids and reliving all the fun with each unfolded note.  Who knew this simple gift, made with construction paper and a jar from Target would become such a treasure.  This year we will celebrate Christmas without my mom and that jar and all our memories with her, are more precious than ever. So, our wish for you and your family this holiday season, is to enjoy, make memories and fill your hearts with Happy Thoughts.

I asked Heidi if I could pass the message along because I love it so much. I think everybody should make a jar of happy thoughts!
